As of July 1, 2025, a new legal requirement comes into force  that affects thousands of property owners. As vacation rental experts, we urge you to act now: if your property is not properly registered, you could face fines or even be banned from renting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This new regulation makes it mandatory to register any property used for vacation or medium-term rentals in a <strong>new Single Rental Registry<\/strong> managed by the Land Registry (Registro de la Propiedad).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vacation rental experts break down the new regulation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until now, it was sufficient to register your property in the Andalusian Tourism Registry. From July 2025 onward, that is no longer enough. All properties rented as vacation homes (VFT) or for periods longer than two months that do not serve as the tenant\u2019s main residence must now also be registered in the new legal registry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The registry is official, binding, and non-compliance may lead to legal consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who needs to register?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our vacation rental experts are already receiving dozens of inquiries.
